LeBron James needs no introduction… He is one of the greatest athletes I have ever had the pleasure to watch. LeBron’s track record is second to none and he has coined the nickname “King James” for a reason. With four rings, four MVP awards, ten Finals appearances, and the most points ever scored in the history of the NBA, his accolades are endless. The man is nearing 40 years old, so it may be time to take a look at the most memorable moments of his legendary career.

First NBA game (2003)

LeBron’s first NBA game was a memorable moment. At just 18 years old, he became the youngest player ever to start an NBA game. He finished with 25 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. This moment gave the NBA world a taste of what was to come.

First playoff game and series win (2006)

In his third season in the league, LeBron led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first playoff appearance in nearly a decade. He scored 32 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 11 assists, becoming just the third player ever to record a triple-double in his playoff debut. At 21 years old, he took the world by storm, showing that he would become one of the all-time great competitors.

“The Decision” (2010)

LeBron’s decision to take his talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat in 2010 was a controversial moment that shook the NBA. In a one-hour TV special called “The Decision,” LeBron announced that he would be leaving Cleveland to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. This resulted in two championships for the Heat and one of the most famous photos in NBA history, capturing the beauty of this NBA superteam and what it did to the league.

“The Block” (2016)

One of the most pivotal moments in NBA history came in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals when LeBron made a jaw-dropping block on Andre Iguodala’s fast-break layup attempt. This moment helped the Cleveland Cavaliers win their first NBA championship, breaking a 52-year championship drought for the city of Cleveland.

Claiming the scoring title (2023) This one speaks for itself. James is a jack of all trades, he plays with no weakness and orchestrates the game every time he steps out on the floor. Stealing this title from the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is another reminder of how untouchable LeBron James’ career has become.
